A Gun in the Hand is Worth Two in the Bush

Maybe the original saying was about birds, or something like that.  Whatever the saying is, it applies to your carry gun.   Many a year ago when I started carrying, there weren't a ton of options.  Small snub nosed revolvers, derringers (yea no), anemic centerfire subcompacts like .25 ACP or .32 ACP, commander sized heavy 1911s, or scaled down compact versions of full size double stack 9mms.  One had to make a hard choice between something small to carry that was less than ideal at stopping a threat, or choosing a gun they ended up never carrying because it was too big and too heavy.
